I love self portraiture because I have loved and witnessed and experienced every version of myself and I enjoy documenting each one as I meet a new person each time, each year.
This years self portraits have a theme of gender identity/expression. Another system update I didn’t see coming but an exciting door to walk through and chapter to turn over,
a new me to meet.
Self portraits feel like getting to know myself, and the only time I truly see myself.
I love shooting the self as a concept as your relationship with yourself is the most important one you will ever have, and cultivating it is always time well spent.
